BlizzconProjection mapping design
A 130-foot, 24-projector mapped stage for BlizzCon's Starcraft II World Championship.
For BlizzCon's Starcraft II World Championship at the Anaheim Convention Center, Xite (then VSL) designed and operated a 130-foot-wide, 40-foot-tall projection-mapped stage for the arena, built with twenty-four 26K projectors for one of the highest pixel counts of any esports stage at the time. Every surface was set at 45-degree angles to mirror the game's isometric view, with content drawing on in-game architecture and UI across seven map looks and three race-specific victory sequences, refined and expanded across the 2014, 2015 and 2016 events.
