Segerstrom Center for the Arts

CG/Motion Design/Projection Mapping

Our friends at Brite Ideas recommended Xite (Tandem) to create and produce a projection mapping segment on a 65′ x 65′ wall at the illustrious Segerstrom Center for the Arts in Costa Mesa. The center wanted to create a “wow” moment to celebrate the opening of a new public plaza, and we accepted the challenge!

In addition to ambient looping visuals, we created a 2-minute opener in C4d that played on the simple grid pattern etched into the exterior wall of the center. Throughout the video we employed cubic animation techniques to highlight some key visuals, create a playful ‘musical wall’, and cascade mirrors along the surface of the wall.

The wrap-up featured a CG ribbon cutting as visitors enjoyed this historic celebration.
