Custom Virtual Environments for Walmart's Corporate Presentations in xR

Experiential event company LEO Events produced two highly successful corporate presentations as a virtual xR series for Walmart’s 2021 Investor Community Meeting and Year Beginning Meeting.

LEO brought XiteLabs aboard to design, build, calibrate and operate the xR virtual production LED stage. The core team went on-location to Walmart’s David Glass Auditorium to construct a custom xR stage. Moreover, the XiteLabs team then implemented its own technical workflow with gear and equipment provided by Evolve Media.

XiteLabs was delighted to provide both technical and creative services in support of LEO’s master show direction for the corporate presentations. It then delivered custom set designs, virtual environments, AR content production, and onsite editorial. Each presenter had unique AR moments using a mixture of both 2D and 3D graphics. AR moments were utilized to highlight important information, which provided valuable insight to the content of the speeches. The live Q&A sessions with remote interviewees rounded out the investor and management production agendas.

Both the Investors Community Meeting and the Year Beginning Meeting were programmed and operated using Disguise xR workflow and hardware.

All virtual environments and 3D AR graphics were created with Notch Real-time Graphics; After Effects was used for 2D motion graphics.

The camera tracking and talent tracking system came from stYpe.
